Charts 9-12: Updated short-term count

Even with the big upswing today, I suspect we are still in a correction.  Here's the count.

Green ii could also be red b, since we retraced about .618 of Friday's plunge today (making today green ii).

How many of you guys are still faithfully watching pro football? I hated the NFL before it was cool.

I didn't see a single game last year until the AFC/NFC Championships, and of course, the Super Bowl.

Pro sports is an opiate of the masses. And don't even get me started on college ball.

Fall is such a beautiful time of year here in the PNW. Before the heavy rains arrive in force in November, we have clear skies and crisp, cool air. All the black flies and mosquitoes are dead, and the meadows are red with blueberries' fall colors. And I get to enjoy it all alone because so many people are glued to their televisions watching football.

I'm hiking the Devil's Dome Loop in the North Cascades next weekend, 43 miles, and a lot of elevation. The last time I hiked up there, I ran into a cougar on the trail, maybe 20' away from me. That's one of the perks of hiking alone, running into critters.

My wife and I recently visited Mount Shasta, really beautiful area. We briefly ventured into southern Oregon, I learned that it is illegal to pump your own gas there. I canceled a transaction at a station, and informed the attendant I would be filling my tank in California.

If you have not done so already, please read the Flight 93 Election.

the cubbies clinched the NL Central last night and DB is collapsing

the last time the cubs did that was Sept 2008 only 5 calendar days after Lehman filed BK

Cubs are bears

dun dun dun

Should I start wearing my BILL BUCKNER warm-up jersey around?

that poor guy should have stayed with the cubs, he will forever be remembered for that world series fielding error when he played for boston

let's look at this CUBS INDICATOR though.

They won the Central division in '03, '07, '08, and '16. We know these all correspond with major market turns.

They got wild card berths in '98 and '15. Both early precursors to major topping events

They won the East in '84 and '89... encircling the '87 crash

Prior to that you only have NL Pennants in '29, '32, '35, '38, and '45. corresponding with the GD1 and end of deflationary war episode WW2

Prior to that an NL Pennant in 1918. This coincides with the 1918 flu pandemic, and WWI. You still had US troops fighting battles with native Americans at this time

Lastly, NL Pennants in 1876, 1880, 1881, 1882, 1885, 1886, 1906, 1907, 1908, and 1910. So they did well for themselves before the Fed

Conclusion - Cubs are illuminati that send turn signals for grand supercycles with winning teams
