There is no snow in the Olympic Mountains

This is insane.  From the NPS webcam at Hurricane Ridge, elevation 5,242':

Hurricane Ridge, ONP

There is a bit of snow at Stevens Pass in the Cascades, but not very much.

  1. I don't recall exactly but I thought it was Bicycle who posted the drought map. Didn't think it extended all the way to Washington but if you're not getting snowpack then that could be rough over the summer (assuming that is where your water comes from).

For that matter, Colorado statewide is behind as well needing 160% of normal to catch up. Migrating west to east I guess. Not good.

  3. I've got a free weekend in a couple of weeks; I'll head out to the Olympics and take a look up high.
